LVAC Welcomes Newest Riding Members to the Corps   (10/20/2009)

The Lewisboro Volunteer Ambulance Corps has added a dozen new members ready to respond to emergency calls alongside senior LVAC EMTs. Following orientation and training in First Aid and CPR, the adult and junior "First Aiders" are now being assigned to day and night shifts to support the Corps' commitment to provide twenty-four hour assistance for the community every day of the year. When "off-duty," the group will join the rest of the LVAC Corps in preparing for the popular LVAC Auction to be held at the Waccabuc Country Club on November 7. In welcoming the new members, LVAC Captain Karen Barber commented, "There is no better proof that Volunteerism is thriving in our community. As new members of the team they will be "in the field" immediately, with opportunities to apply their new knowledge and skills to residents requiring medical assistance. We applaud their spirit an commitment."
